Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Meriden, start at the Meriden Green Park located at 15 State Street. From there, head southeast to the intersection of Main Street and East Main Street. Continue walking along East Main Street until you reach the intersection with Broad Street. Turn left onto Broad Street and then take a right onto the first cross street, which is Westfield Road. Follow Westfield Road until it leads you to the entrance of Black Pond State Wildlife Area. The entrance should be visible on your left.

    From the Meriden Train Station, board the CT Transit bus route 14 towards 'Wallingford'. Get off at the stop at East Main Street and Broad Street. From there, walk along East Main Street towards Broad Street, then take a right onto Broad Street and follow it to Westfield Road. Turn left onto Westfield Road and continue until you reach Black Pond State Wildlife Area.
