Getting There

    Starting from Mystic Seaport, head west on Cottrell St toward West Main St. Continue on West Main St for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn right onto Route 1 and follow it for approximately 2 miles. Then, take the exit toward Groton/Route 184. Merge onto Route 184 and continue for about 1 mile. Take a left onto Park Ave, and Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park will be on your right at the intersection with Monument St.

    From Mystic Seaport, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the Mystic Market on Route 1. Take the CT Transit Bus #9 towards Groton. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Once you reach the Groton Shopping Plaza, get off the bus and transfer to Bus #11. Ride the #11 bus for another 10 minutes until you reach the Park Ave & Monument St stop. Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park will be a short walk from the bus stop.
