Take a left on Chapel Street and continue east for about 0.5 miles until you reach State Street. Cross State Street and continue on Chapel Street, which will turn into Ferry Street. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Woodward Avenue. Follow Woodward Avenue for approximately 1 mile. Ft. Hale Park will be on your left, just before the intersection with Long Beach Boulevard.

    From downtown New Haven, walk to the nearest bus stop on Chapel Street. Take the CT Transit Bus Route 234 towards East Haven. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop on Woodward Avenue. From the bus stop, walk north on Woodward Avenue for about 0.3 miles. Ft. Hale Park will be on your right, just before the intersection with Long Beach Boulevard.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program. Start from downtown New Haven and head south on Church Street to the New Haven Green.
