Train
From Stamford, head to the Stamford Train Station located at 1 Washington Blvd. You can walk there in about 10-15 minutes from downtown. Take a Metro-North train on the New Haven Line heading towards Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit. From there, walk east along 42nd Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn right on 5th Avenue and walk until you reach 53rd Street. Turn left on 53rd Street, and Paley Park will be on your right at 3 E 53rd St.
Bus
Go to the Stamford Transportation Center at 30 Station Place. From there, take the Metro-North/CT Transit bus towards New York City. Get off at the 42nd Street & 5th Avenue stop. Once you disembark, walk east along 42nd Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn right on 5th Avenue and walk until you reach 53rd Street. Turn left on 53rd Street, and Paley Park will be on your right at 3 E 53rd St.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service in Stamford. Start at the Stamford Town Center and head southeast on Main Street. Follow Main Street until you reach the waterfront, then turn left onto Washington Boulevard. Continue on this road until you reach the train station area. From there, follow the directions for the train ride to New York City. Once you arrive at Grand Central, you can cycle to Paley Park by following the earlier walking directions.
Walking
If you are up for a long walk, you can walk from Stamford to New York City. Start from downtown Stamford and head west on Main Street, then take a left onto Washington Boulevard. Continue walking until you reach the train tracks. Follow the tracks to the city limit, then cross over into New York City. Continue walking east until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left on 5th Avenue and walk until you reach 53rd Street. Turn left on 53rd Street, and Paley Park will be on your right at 3 E 53rd St.
