Walking
Start from the Stamford Train Station. Exit the station and head towards the bus terminal located adjacent to the train station. Look for the Metro-North train service to Grand Central Terminal (GCT) in New York City. Purchase a ticket for the train heading to GCT. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and proceed to the street level. From Grand Central, walk west on 42nd Street for about six blocks until you reach 6th Avenue. Turn left onto 6th Avenue and walk south until you reach 53rd Street. Turn right onto 53rd Street and continue walking for about two blocks. St. Thomas Church will be on your left at 1 W 53rd St.
Public Transportation
From Stamford, head to the Stamford Train Station. Take the Metro-North train towards Grand Central Terminal (GCT) in New York City. It usually takes around 45 minutes to reach GCT. Upon arrival, exit the train station and find the subway entrance for the S line (Shuttle to Times Square). Take the shuttle and get off at Times Square-42nd Street. Once you exit, walk west on 42nd Street until you reach 6th Avenue. Turn left onto 6th Avenue and walk south until you reach 53rd Street. Turn right onto 53rd Street, and you will find St. Thomas Church at 1 W 53rd St on your left.
