Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, first ensure you have a GPS or map application. Start from the center of Willimantic, CT. Take US-6 W toward Windham. Continue on US-6 W for about 8 miles. Merge onto CT-32 S and follow it for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Cottage Rd. After about a mile, you will see the entrance to Hopemead State Park on your left. Parking is available at the park entrance.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Willimantic to Norwich. Check the local bus schedule for the most current routes. Once you arrive in Norwich, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Cottage Rd in Bozrah. The taxi ride should take about 15 minutes and will incur an additional cost, typically around $20-$30 depending on the service.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and prefer to cycle, you can start from the town of Willimantic. Follow the back roads to connect to CT-32 S, which has a bike lane. This route is about 11 miles and will take you around 1 hour to bike, depending on your pace. Be cautious of traffic along the route, especially when crossing major roads.

• Walking

  For those nearby and looking for a nature walk, if you're in Bozrah, you can walk to the park. From Bozrah center, head south on CT-163, then take a left onto Cottage Rd. The park entrance will be approximately 1.5 miles ahead. This walk can take about 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
