Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Arorangi Beach area, head east along the coastline. Follow the beach path until you reach the main road, Ara Tapu. Then, turn left onto Ara Tapu. Continue walking along Ara Tapu for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road leading towards the interior. At this point, you should see signs directing you to Sunset Quay which is located in Akaoa Tapere.

    If you are near the Arorangi Church, start by walking down the street towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, turn right and continue along the shore. When you reach the main road, Ara Tapu, turn left. Sunset Quay is located further down Ara Tapu, so continue walking until you see additional signage indicating the direction to Sunset Quay.

    From Rarotongan Beach Resort, exit the resort and turn left onto Ara Tapu road. Walk straight for about 15 minutes along Ara Tapu. Look for the signs directing you to Sunset Quay, which will be on your right side. Pay attention to the local landmarks to ensure you’re on the right path.
