Walking
From the central area of Avatiu, head southeast towards the main road, Ara Tapu. Continue walking along Ara Tapu for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Muri Road. Turn left onto Muri Road. Follow Muri Road for another 1 kilometer. You will see signs pointing to Muri Lagoon. Continue straight until you reach Muri Lagoon, a beautiful spot known for its clear waters and vibrant marine life.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Avatiu harbor area. Head south towards Ara Tapu and turn left onto it. Cycle along Ara Tapu for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach Muri Road. Take a left on Muri Road and continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. Muri Lagoon will be on your right side, and you can easily spot the lagoon from the road.
Public Transport (Bus)
Locate the nearest bus stop in Avatiu and take a bus heading to Muri Beach. Buses typically run regularly, so check the local schedule. The trip should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you get off at the Muri Beach stop, walk towards the water, and you will find Muri Lagoon directly in front of you.
