Getting There

From the center of Matavera, head towards the coast following the main road (Ara Tapu). Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the road that leads directly to the beach area. The Black Rock is located along the coast, so you will be able to see the beach as you approach. Keep walking until you see a clear path leading to the rocky outcrop. The total distance should be approximately 1.5 km, taking about 20-25 minutes on foot.
