Car
If you are driving, begin your journey from the main town of Avarua. Head west on Ara Tapu road (the main road) for approximately 7 km. Watch for signs directing you to Arorangi and turn left onto Maungaroa Drive. Continue along Maungaroa Drive for about 1 km. Highland Paradise will be on your left. There is ample parking available on-site. Note that a rental car can cost around NZD 50-100 per day.
Public Transportation
To reach Highland Paradise via public bus, catch the Rarotonga Bus from the Avarua bus terminal. Look for the buses heading towards the west side of the island, specifically those that stop in Arorangi. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and costs NZD 5 for a one-way ticket. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Maungaroa Drive. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Highland Paradise, where you will find directional signs leading you to the entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Rarotonga. Simply tell the driver to take you to Highland Paradise located on Maungaroa Drive in Arorangi. The taxi fare from Avarua will typically range from NZD 30-50, depending on your exact location.
