    From Avarua, the main town, take either the clockwise or anti-clockwise bus. Both buses stop along the main road near Tropical Sands. A single bus fare is approximately NZ$5, and a day pass is around NZ$8. Buses operate regularly from Monday to Saturday.

    Taxis are available from Rarotonga Airport or Avarua. A taxi from the airport to Tropical Sands costs approximately NZ$40. From Muri Beach, a taxi ride is around NZ$15-20. Ensure the taxi is licensed and agree on a fare before starting your journey.

  • Car/Scooter

    Rentals are available at the airport or in Avarua. Tropical Sands is located on the main road in the Matavera district, a short drive from Muri Village. Parking is free at Tropical Sands. A valid driver's license is required; for scooters, a visitor's motorcycle license is mandatory. Watch for local traffic and pedestrians.
