Ocean Escape Resort & Spa is a boutique, adults-only resort located in Turangi Village on the eastern coast of Rarotonga. This 4-star eco-resort provides a tranquil escape with its focus on barefoot luxury and environmental sustainability. The resort features 12 individual villas, each self-contained with a full-size fridge, dishwasher, cooking facilities, and air conditioning.The resort's unique lagoon pool is filled with 250,000 liters of ocean water, pumped directly from the lagoon and free of chlorine or harmful chemicals. While the immediate coastline is rocky, it's ideal for beach walks and whale watching between June and November. Guests can indulge in Balinese-inspired treatments at the 'Essential Spa' or enjoy Mediterranean fusion tapas and cocktails at BJ's Tapas Bar & Restaurant.Located a 20-minute drive south of the airport and a 5-minute drive north of Muri Beach, Ocean Escape is perfectly positioned for exploring Rarotonga's attractions. The Matavera District, where the resort is located, offers a glimpse into local life with its plantations and relaxed atmosphere.

Taxi
From Rarotonga Airport, a taxi to Ocean Escape Resort & Spa takes approximately 20 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the airport. Expect to pay around NZ$40-45 for a fixed-rate fare to Muri, which is a short drive from the resort. Confirm the rate with the driver before starting your journey.
Public Transport
The public bus is an affordable option. From the airport, walk a short distance to the main road and catch either the Clockwise or Anti-Clockwise bus. The bus ride takes around 30 minutes. A single fare is NZ$5. The resort is located along the main road (Ara Tapu), so simply ask the driver to stop near Ocean Escape Resort & Spa.
