Getting There

    From Muri Beach, head south towards the main road (Ara Tapu). Walk along the beach until you reach the end of Muri Beach (approximately a 15-20 minute walk). Turn left onto Ara Tapu and walk for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the path for Turoa Beach. Follow the path to the beach. There are no costs associated with walking to Turoa Beach.

    Take the local bus service that runs along Ara Tapu Road. Buses depart from Avarua and run approximately every 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Turoa Beach. From the bus stop, follow the path to Turoa Beach. A single bus fare is approximately NZD 5.

  • Taxi

    From anywhere in Rarotonga, you can take a taxi to Turoa Beach. Taxi services are available 24/7, but it's best to agree on a fare with the driver before starting your trip. A short taxi ride from Muri Beach to Turoa Beach will cost approximately NZD 15-20.
