If you are in central Nikao, head east towards the main road, Ara Tapu. Walk along Ara Tapu for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Makea Tinirau Rd. Turn left onto Makea Tinirau Rd and continue walking for about 500 meters. You will see Taputapuatea on your right side. The site is well marked and easily noticeable, with informational signage.

From Nikao, find a bicycle rental shop near the beach. Once you have a bicycle, head towards Ara Tapu. Cycle east along Ara Tapu for approximately 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection with Makea Tinirau Rd, turn left. Continue biking for about 500 meters, and you will find Taputapuatea on your right. The ride is scenic, so enjoy the views along the way!
