Walking
From the Avarua Market in the town center, head east on Ara Tapu Road, the main road. Walk for about 1.5 kilometers. After approximately 20 minutes, look for signs indicating the direction to Pa Monument. Turn left onto a smaller road and walk straight for another 500 meters until you reach the monument on your right. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
Take the local bus from the Avarua Market towards Avatiu. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Pa Monument. After about 15-20 minutes, the driver will let you off close to the dirt road leading to the monument. Walk down the dirt path for about 5 minutes to reach the site. The bus fare is approximately NZ$5.
