From the main entrance of Arenal Volcano National Park, drive towards the town of La Fortuna. Follow Route 142 for approximately 12 kilometers (about 30 minutes). As you approach La Fortuna, look for signs directing you to Mirador Lake Arenal. Turn left onto F63R road (the road leading to the lake), and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the viewpoint.

From La Fortuna, take a local bus or shuttle service towards Arenal Volcano National Park. Look for buses that stop at the 'Mirador Lake Arenal' or 'La Fortuna to Arenal' routes. The bus ride should take around 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you may need to walk an additional 1 to 2 kilometers to reach the actual viewpoint. Ensure to ask the bus driver for the closest drop-off point to Mirador Lake Arenal.
