If you are driving from La Fortuna, head north on Route 142 towards Tilaran. After approximately 30 kilometers, you'll reach a fork; continue straight to stay on Route 142. Look for signs directing you to Lago Arenal. After about 15 kilometers, you will arrive at Lago Arenal. The scenic views of the lake will be on your right.
