If you are driving from the center of Osa, head towards Carr. Pacífica Fernández Oreamuno. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Playa Ballena along the way. Once you reach the coordinates 9.1123781, -83.6953443, you will find the entrance to Playa Ballena. Note that there is usually a small parking fee of around $5.

From the main bus terminal in Uvita, take a bus that heads towards Osa. Ask the driver to drop you off at Playa Ballena. The bus service is frequent, but it is advisable to check the latest schedule at the terminal. Once you arrive, it is a short walk to the beach area. The bus fare is typically around $3.
