Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Cahuita town, Playa Blanca is easily accessible by foot. Head east towards the coast, and you'll find the entrance to Cahuita National Park, also known as Kelly Creek Station. The beach starts right at the entrance. Remember that access to this entrance is by donation.

  • Public Transport

    If arriving by bus from Puerto Viejo or Limón, the bus will drop you off near the center of Cahuita town. From there, it's a short walk to the Kelly Creek Station entrance of Cahuita National Park and Playa Blanca. Bus fare from Puerto Viejo is approximately ₡1,000.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available in Cahuita and can take you to either the Kelly Creek Station (Playa Blanca) entrance or the Puerto Vargas entrance of Cahuita National Park. A taxi from Puerto Viejo to Cahuita costs around $20-$25 USD. From the Cahuita bus terminal to the Playa Blanca entrance is a short ride, costing approximately ₡1,500-₡2,000.
