If you are driving from La Fortuna town, head east on Route 142, which is the main road. After about 4 kilometers, you will see signs for Fortuna Waterfall on your right. Turn onto the access road, which is well-marked. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area. Note that parking is usually available for a fee, approximately $5 USD.

Public Transportation
From the main bus station in La Fortuna, you can take a local bus to Fortuna Waterfall. Buses run approximately every hour. Make sure to confirm the schedule with locals or at your hotel. The bus will take you to a stop near the entrance of the waterfall. The fare is typically around $2 USD. After getting off, walk the short distance to the entrance where you will pay an entry fee of about $18 USD.
