Walking
From the center of Monteverde, start at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve entrance. Walk down the main road (Ruta 606) towards the town of Santa Elena. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a bus stop area. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to La Fortuna. At this point, you can either continue straight or wait for a local bus. If you choose to walk, it’s approximately 30-40 minutes more to reach the La Fortuna area.

Local Bus
From the center of Monteverde, head to the local bus stop located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Look for buses heading to La Fortuna, which run several times a day. The ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in La Fortuna, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach Rainforest Explorers CR. Head south on Avenida 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 5. Turn left onto Calle 5, and you will find Rainforest Explorers CR on your right.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Monteverde to La Fortuna. The taxis are located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Inform the driver that you want to go to Rainforest Explorers CR in La Fortuna. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off right outside the attraction.
