Car
From Nicoya, take the Route 21 towards the town of Cóbano. After approximately 29 kilometers, you will reach Cóbano. Continue straight on the Route 21 until you reach the junction to Route 147. Turn left onto Route 147 and follow the signs to Santa Teresa. The drive from Cóbano to Santa Teresa is about 20 kilometers on a paved road. Once you reach Santa Teresa, you can park your car at various designated parking areas near the beach.

If you choose to travel by bus, start at the Nicoya bus station. Look for the bus line that goes to Cóbano; the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and costs approximately $2-4 USD. Once you arrive in Cóbano, switch to a local bus heading to Santa Teresa, which departs frequently and takes about 30 minutes. The fare for this leg is roughly $1-2 USD. Buses may not run late at night, so plan accordingly.
