From the center of Puerto Viejo (the main street by the beach), head east towards the beachfront. Walk along the main road (Calle 213). Continue past the small shops and eateries until you reach the intersection with the main highway (Route 36). Cross the highway carefully, and you will see a bus station on your left. From here, you can catch a bus to Limón. Buses typically leave every half hour and the ride takes about 30-40 minutes. The bus will drop you off at the Limón bus terminal.
