Getting There

  • Car

    From Cahuita National Park, head northwest on the main road (Route 36) towards Puerto Viejo. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 32. Turn left onto Route 32 and continue for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Veragua Rainforest. The entrance will be on your right. There may be a small parking fee, so keep some cash handy.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Veragua Rainforest using public transportation, take a bus from Cahuita to Puerto Viejo. Buses run frequently and the fare is usually around 500-700 CRC. Once you arrive in Puerto Viejo, transfer to a bus heading towards Limón. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Veragua Rainforest. The fare for this segment is approximately 1,000 CRC. The bus will drop you off on Route 32, and from there, you can walk about 500 meters to the entrance of Veragua Rainforest.
