Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Puerto Viejo, head south on Avenida 71 (the main road). Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Playa Chiquita. Look for the sign for Playa Chiquita on your left. Turn left and follow the path leading into the beach area. Once you reach the beach, turn right and walk along the shore for about 500 meters until you see a rocky area where the natural pools are located.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Puerto Viejo. From the town center, ride south on Avenida 71 for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Turn left towards Playa Chiquita and follow the path until you reach the beach. Once at the beach, ride along the shoreline towards the right. After about 500 meters, you’ll arrive at the natural pools known as Picina Natural Puerto Viejo.
