Getting There

Car
From the center of Limón, head southeast on Calle 3 toward Avenida 1. Continue straight onto Route 32 (Carretera a Braulio Carrillo) for approximately 40 km. After passing through the town of Guápiles, continue on Route 32 until you reach the junction for Route 36. Take Route 36 toward Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Continue on Route 36 for about 50 km. As you approach Puerto Viejo, look for signs directing you to Finca la Isla, which will be on your left. There is parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
From the Limón bus terminal, take a direct bus to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The bus ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. When you arrive at the Puerto Viejo bus stop, exit the bus and walk toward the main road. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk. If you choose to walk, head southeast on the main road for about 3 km. Finca la Isla will be on your left side. A taxi from the bus stop to Finca la Isla should cost around 3,000 to 4,000 CRC.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Limón. Provide the driver with the address: Jardín Botánico Finca la Isla, Limón, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, 70403. The taxi ride should take around 1 hour and cost approximately 30,000 to 40,000 CRC depending on traffic.
