Walking
From the center of Puerto Viejo, start at the intersection of Avenida 58 and Calle 246. Walk east on Avenida 58 toward the beach for about 300 meters until you reach the shoreline. Turn left and walk along the beach for approximately 1.5 kilometers (about 20 minutes). The Old Shipwreck will be visible on the beach.

Taxis and tuk-tuks are readily available in Puerto Viejo. A short ride from the town center to a point closer to the shipwreck will cost approximately $4-$10. From the drop-off point, follow the beach on foot for a few minutes to reach the site.
