Getting There

Walking
From the center of Puerto Viejo, head south on Calle 213 towards the beachfront. Continue walking until you reach the main road (Route 256). Turn left onto Route 256 and keep walking for about 3 kilometers. You'll pass by several small shops and local eateries. As you walk, enjoy the lush surroundings and the sounds of the ocean. Eventually, you'll arrive at the small village of Manzanillo. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for the path to Playa Manzanillo, which is a short walk from the village center.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Puerto Viejo. Once you have your bike, head south on Calle 213 towards the beach. When you reach Route 256, turn left. Continue cycling for approximately 3 kilometers. You'll enjoy a beautiful ride along the coast, with plenty of opportunities to stop for photos. As you enter Manzanillo, look for signs directing you to Playa Manzanillo. Park your bicycle at the designated bike racks near the beach entrance.

Public Bus
From Puerto Viejo, head to the main bus stop located near the center of town. Look for the bus heading to Manzanillo, which runs regularly throughout the day. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride along the coast. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Manzanillo stop, and from there, you can walk towards the beach. Follow the path that leads you to Playa Manzanillo, which is a short distance from where the bus drops you off.
