If you're up for a walk from Puerto Viejo, head south on the main road (Route 256). Continue past Playa Cocles. Turn left onto Margarita Road. Geckoes Lodge will be on your left. The walk is approximately 1.6km (1 mile) and should take around 20-30 minutes. Note that portions of the walk may not have sidewalks.

Take the local bus from Puerto Viejo towards Manzanillo. Ask the driver to let you off near the turnoff for Margarita Road. From there, it's a short walk to Geckoes Lodge. The bus fare is approximately $1-2 USD.
