For those staying closer to the edge of La Fortuna, walking to Ecocentro Danaus is an option. The walk is roughly 5km and will take approximately 1 hour. Follow the main road (Route 142) towards the Arenal Volcano, and Ecocentro Danaus will be on your right. Be aware of traffic and the lack of sidewalks along certain stretches of the road.

While public buses do not directly serve Ecocentro Danaus, you can take a bus from La Fortuna towards a nearby location and walk the remaining distance.
