We had a great time on the one-day Pacuare white water rafting trip! Despite feeling anxious at first, our guide, Fernando, instilled confidence along the way especially when I fell overboard. He scooped me up and into the raft within seconds! He made us practice synchronizing our paddle strokes and knew when to tell us to paddle, when to stop, when to sit low. He was very attuned to the river and its flow the entire time and he was lots of fun and a great sense of humour! He shared so much interesting information about the waterfalls, birds, volcanic rocks and history of the area along the way. I would highly recommend this company. I would suggest they have a small supply of ice for any injuries once on shore.

Two-Day Rafting Tour on the Pacuare River Transportation included

2 day rafting

We went on this 2-day rafting with outdoors explorers and it was great. Got picked up outside La Fortuna (30 min late, but they came). The first Dah had rained a lot so it was a bit difficult with the rafting. The lodge needs a lot of love and refurbishment, but our guide Fernando did it absolutely amazing, cooked super good lunch, dinner and breakfast with the best banana pancakes I have eaten. Everything is very spartan, but they make it work! Day two the rafting was taken to a completely different level, an amazing 3 hours with challenging level 4, in a fantastic environment. Fernando led us super well through the river, very knowledgeable, funny and responsive. After lunch we went and got dropped off at the same place again... Great concept!
