From Liberia, walk to the main bus terminal near Parque Central. Look for the bus to La Cruz. Buses typically depart hourly. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Parque Nacional Santa Rosa, approximately 35 km (22 miles) from Liberia. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. From the highway turnoff, it's about a 7 km (4.3 miles) walk to the park entrance. Bus fare is approximately $1-$3.
