Car
From the South Pacific region, head north on Route 34 (Costanera Sur) towards the town of Nosara. Continue on Route 34 until you reach the intersection with Route 160. Turn left onto Route 160 and follow the signs to Ostional. After entering Ostional, follow the signs to Refugio Nacional Ostional, located at the address 272V+4HM. There is no entrance fee, but be prepared for gravel roads leading to the refuge.

Public Transportation
Take a bus from Quepos or Dominical to Nosara. The bus service is fairly regular, but check the schedule ahead of time. Once in Nosara, you will need to take a taxi or a local shuttle service to reach Ostional. The taxi ride from Nosara to Ostional takes about 30 minutes and can cost around $30-40. Ask the driver to take you to Refugio Nacional Ostional, located at 272V+4HM.
