Car
If you are driving from the town of Nosara, head northeast on Route 160. Continue for about 12 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 21. Turn left onto Route 21 and follow it for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Ostional. Once you reach Ostional, continue until you see the signs for the National Wildlife Refuge Ostional, located diagonally across from the cemetery. Keep in mind that parking may be limited in the area, so arrive early if possible.

From Nosara, you can take a local bus heading towards Santa Cruz. The bus usually departs from the Nosara bus station. Be sure to confirm the schedule as it may vary. Once you arrive in Santa Cruz, transfer to a bus heading to Ostional. The ride takes about an hour. Upon arriving in Ostional, walk towards the cemetery; the National Wildlife Refuge Ostional is located diagonally across from it. Make sure to have some cash on hand for bus fares, which typically range from $2 to $5.
