If you're driving from Manuel Antonio, take Route 34 (Costanera Sur) northbound towards San José. After approximately 40 km, merge onto Route 27 towards San José. Follow the highway for about 90 km. As you approach San José, keep left at the fork to continue on Route 1, following signs for San José. Once you enter the city, look for signs to Avenida Central.
