Getting There

    From Makarska, follow the D512 road towards Vrgorac. The entrance to Biokovo Nature Park is approximately 6 km east of Makarska. Turn left onto the Biokovo Road, a narrow, winding road leading into the park. Be prepared for limited parking at popular spots like the Skywalk and Sveti Jure peak. The entrance fee to the park is €10-15 per adult, with children under 7 entering free. There are no additional charges for parking within the park. Note that entry is limited to a certain number of vehicles each hour.

  • Walking

    For experienced hikers, a challenging but rewarding option is to hike from Makarska to the Vošac peak (1,422m), about 2.9 km away. The trail is well-marked but steep in sections. From Vošac, continue along another marked path to Sveti Jure, the highest peak. Alternatively, drive to the parking area below Vošac and take a shorter, 20-minute walk to the peak. Purchase park entry tickets at the main entrance before commencing your hike.
