Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Zagreb. Take the A1 highway towards Split. After approximately 90 km, take the exit toward Karlovac and then merge onto the D1 road toward Slunj. Continue on D1 for about 40 km until you reach the village of Plitvička Jezera. From there, follow signs to the town of Karlovac. Once in Karlovac, take the D6 road toward the town of Jastrebarsko. After approximately 60 km, merge onto the D3 road heading toward Privlaka. Bunar/Sokolar is located at Virski put, 23233, Privlaka. There is usually parking available near the site, but please check local signage for parking regulations.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start your journey at the main bus station in Zagreb. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards Zadar. The journey takes about 3 hours. Once you arrive in Zadar, you need to transfer to a local bus heading to Privlaka. This local bus departs from the Zadar bus terminal and runs frequently. The fare is typically around 20 HRK. After arriving in Privlaka, it is about a 15-minute walk to Bunar/Sokolar, located at Virski put. Make sure to have a map or GPS available as signage may be limited in the area.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a quicker and more convenient option, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare app from Zadar to Bunar/Sokolar. The taxi ride from Zadar will take approximately 25 minutes and will cost around 200-300 HRK depending on traffic. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
