Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from other parts of the Dubrovnik Riviera, head towards the D8 coastal road (also known as the Adriatic Highway). Follow the signs for Dubrovnik, and once you reach the city, look for signs directing you to the Old Town. Note that parking inside the Old Town is not allowed, so park in one of the designated parking areas outside the city walls, such as the 'P1' or 'P2' parking lots. Expect to pay around 10-15 HRK per hour for parking.

• Public Bus

  Take a local bus from nearby towns in the Dubrovnik Riviera to Dubrovnik. Buses are operated by Libertas Dubrovnik, and you can catch them from towns like Cavtat or Mlini. The bus will take you directly to the main bus station in Dubrovnik, which is about a 20-minute walk to the Old Town. From the bus station, walk towards the Old Town by heading towards the Pile Gate, the main entrance to the city. The bus fare is approximately 25 HRK.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling with luggage, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing service like Uber. Simply request a ride to 'Dubrovnik Old Town,' and the driver will take you to the entrance at Pile Gate. Taxi fares from various locations around the Dubrovnik Riviera can vary, but expect to pay between 200-400 HRK depending on the distance.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Dubrovnik, you can walk to the Old Town from nearby hotels or accommodations by following local paths or signs directing you towards the Old Town. The most scenic route is through the park area leading to the Pile Gate, where you can enjoy views of the city’s walls and the surrounding sea. This walk can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on your starting point.
