Car/Scooter
From any of Mljet's ferry ports (Sobra, Pomena, or Polače), rent a car or scooter. Drive towards Babino Polje, the largest village on the island. Look for Tommy's Supermarket; parking is available nearby. From there, follow the signs for a 1.2 km (0.75 miles) hike along a craggy cliff to reach the cave. Car rentals vary, but expect to pay around €30-50 per day. Scooter rentals are slightly cheaper.
Public Transport
Take bus line 18 or 19 from Sobra to Babino Polje. From Babino Polje, follow the hiking trail to Odysseus Cave, approximately 1.2km. A single bus ticket costs around €2-3. Note that bus schedules may be limited, especially outside of peak season.
Taxi
From any ferry port, take a taxi to Babino Polje. From there, hike to Odysseus Cave. A taxi ride from Sobra to Babino Polje will cost approximately €25-€35. Always confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey.
