If you are starting from the central square, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića, head east towards Radićeva Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Tkalčićeva Street. Turn left onto Tkalčićeva and walk until you reach the next intersection. Here, turn right onto Stube Ivana Zakmardija. Follow the street as it begins to ascend, and you will see the Zakmardi Steps on your left.

If you prefer using public transport, find the nearest tram stop, such as the 'Zrinjevac' stop. Take tram number 4 or 14 towards 'Dubrava' or 'Susedgrad'. Ride for about 3 stops and get off at the 'Trg bana Josipa Jelačića' stop. From there, follow the walking directions mentioned above to reach Zakmardi Steps. Note that a single tram ticket costs around 10 HRK and can be purchased at kiosks or from ticket machines.
