Zambartas Wineries, established in 2006 by Akis Zambartas, is a family-run boutique winery located in the Krasochoria wine region of Cyprus, specifically in the village of Agios Amvrosios. Situated on the southern slopes of the Troodos Mountains, near Limassol, the winery benefits from a unique terroir that contributes to the distinct character of its wines. Akis Zambartas, after years as a chief winemaker, decided to pursue his dream of creating his own boutique winery, a vision later joined by his son Marcos. The winery focuses on producing high-quality wines using sustainable viticulture and winemaking practices. They cultivate both international and indigenous Cypriot grape varieties, including Mavro, Xinisteri, and Maratheftiko. Zambartas Wineries owns 18.2 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 800 meters and also sources grapes from local farmers. The winery produces a range of wines, including white, rosé, and red, which have gained popularity and won awards. Visitors can explore the vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and enjoy wine tasting experiences. Agios Amvrosios itself is a charming village known for its winemaking traditions, dating back to ancient times.
