The Atalanti Trail itself is a circular path, approximately 14 kilometers long, that loops around Mount Olympus (Chionistra), the highest peak in Cyprus. The trail is considered moderately difficult, taking around 4-5 hours to complete, making Πηγή Νερού a welcome oasis along the way.Historically, the Atalanti Trail is named after Atalanta, a mythological huntress and runner, linking the area to ancient Cypriot legends.
