Public Transport
From Brno's main train station (Hlavní nádraží), take a train to Mikulov. Trains to Mikulov run frequently, so check the schedule at the station or online. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Mikulov train station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Husova Street). Turn left and walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the center of Mikulov. The castle is located on a hill, visible from the town center. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Zámek 1/4, where Mikulov Castle is situated.
Bus
From the Brno central bus station (Zvonarka), take a bus to Mikulov. Buses are available regularly throughout the day and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Mikulov bus station, exit and walk straight down Zahradní Street until you reach the town square. From the square, follow the signs to Mikulov Castle, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill. Look for Zámek 1/4 on your way.
Walking
If you're already in Mikulov, you can walk to Mikulov Castle from the town center. Start at the main square (Náměstí), located near the Church of St. Wenceslas. Head towards Zámecká Street and follow it uphill for about 15-20 minutes. The castle will be on your left, and you will see the entrance at Zámek 1/4. The walk offers beautiful views of the surrounding area, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Brno to Mikulov Castle. Simply ask for a taxi to take you to Zámek 1/4 in Mikulov. The drive usually takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare beforehand or ask for the meter to be used.
