Bus
From České Budějovice, head to the main bus station (Autobusové nádraží). Purchase a ticket to Rožmberk nad Vltavou. Buses regularly depart from platform 4. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Rožmberk nad Vltavou, walk towards the town center. Follow the signs towards Státní hrad Rožmberk, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.
Train and Bus
Take a train from České Budějovice to Český Krumlov. From the Český Krumlov train station, take bus number 1 towards Rožmberk nad Vltavou. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving in Rožmberk nad Vltavou, follow the signs to Státní hrad Rožmberk, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are staying near the center of České Budějovice, you can also take a walking route to enjoy the scenery. Walk towards the Vltava River and follow the river upstream. This route will take you through the picturesque countryside and can take around 2.5 to 3 hours to reach Rožmberk nad Vltavou. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
