Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, navigate to Hřensko, which is a small town located at the foot of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. From the center of Hřensko, follow the signs for Pravčická Brána (Pravčická Archway). The drive will take approximately 15 minutes. You can park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance to the hiking trails that lead to the archway. Be prepared to pay a parking fee, which typically ranges from 50 to 100 CZK for the day.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Pravčická Archway using public transportation, take a train or bus to the town of Hřensko. If you are coming from Děčín, you can take a train to Hřensko, which will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hřensko, head to the local bus station and catch a bus heading towards the Pravčická Brána stop. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. After getting off at the Pravčická Brána stop, follow the marked hiking trail to the archway, which is about a 30-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, you can start your trek from various points in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Follow the well-marked trails leading to Pravčická Archway. Popular starting points include the village of Mezná or the town of Hřensko. The hiking trails are scenic and can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on your starting location and pace. Ensure you have adequate hiking gear and check the weather conditions before starting your hike.
