Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Charles Bridge, head east towards Kampa Island. Walk along the riverbank, keeping the Vltava River to your left. Continue walking until you reach the Kampa Park entrance. From there, follow the path leading upward to the Malostranské náměstí (Lesser Town Square). Once at the square, look for the signs pointing towards Prague Castle. Head northwest on the street called Tržiště, which will lead you towards the castle area. After a short walk, you will see a sign for the Old Castle Stairs. Follow the signs; the stairs will be on your left.

  • Public Transportation (Tram)

    If you are near the Malostranská tram stop, you can take tram number 22 or 23 towards the castle area. Get off at the stop called Pražský hrad (Prague Castle). Once you exit the tram, follow the signs directing you towards the castle entrance. As you approach the castle, look for the path leading down to the Old Castle Stairs, which will be on your right. The tram ticket costs around 40 CZK (Czech Koruna) for a 30-minute ride.

    From the Lennon Wall, walk towards the nearby Čechův Bridge (Czech Bridge). Cross the bridge and head towards the Prague Castle area. Once you reach the castle complex, walk around the castle grounds until you find the Old Castle Stairs.
