Getting there

Bus

From the main bus station in Český Krumlov, take the bus heading towards Rožmberk nad Vltavou. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. Once you arrive at the Rožmberk nad Vltavou bus stop, exit the bus and walk straight for about 10 minutes. Follow the signs toward Státní hrad Rožmberk, which will lead you directly to the castle entrance.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Český Krumlov. Head towards the Vltava River and follow the bike path along the riverbank. The ride to Rožmberk nad Vltavou takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Rožmberk Castle. Once you reach the village, follow the road signs to the castle.

Walking

For the more adventurous, you can walk to Rožmberk nad Vltavou. Start at the Český Krumlov town square and head towards the Vltava River. Follow the river path upstream for approximately 10 kilometers. The walk will take around 2 to 2.5 hours. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and as you approach Rožmberk, look for signs directing you to Státní hrad Rožmberk.
