    From Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II, the main square in České Budějovice, walk west along Česká Street. Continue onto Karla IV. Street, crossing the Vltava River via Dlouhý most (Long Bridge). After crossing the bridge, turn right onto Na Dlouhé louce street. Stromovka Park will be on your left, a short walk away. The walk is approximately 1.5 km and should take about 20 minutes. There are no costs involved.

    From the main train or bus station ('Nádraží'), take trolley line 4 to the 'Jihočeská univerzita' bus stop. From there, walk west towards Kaufland. Stromovka Park is located behind Kaufland. A single-trip ticket costs 20 CZK and is valid for 60 minutes.

    From the city center, a taxi to Stromovka Park will cost approximately 172.5 CZK. The base fare is 40 CZK, with an additional 26.5 CZK per kilometer. The ride is approximately 5km.

Stromovka Park, known locally as Dlouhá louka (Long Meadow), is a 68-hectare green space just west of České Budějovice city center. Established between the 1950s and 1960s, the park provides a charming recreational zone for both active and passive leisure.The park features a network of paved and unpaved paths, perfect for walking, cycling, and inline skating. Younger visitors can enjoy a modern playground with climbing frames, slides, and swings, while older children can play volleyball, basketball, or football on asphalt pitches. The Bagr Pond is a popular spot, hosting various small events throughout the year.Stromovka's history dates back to the mid-20th century when it was created through the efforts of local businesses and citizens. The area, once natural wetlands, was divided during World War II by a military road. After the war, the city planned to build a sports stadium, but instead, the area was used for gravel extraction, creating the Bagr Pond. In 1957, a pioneer railway was constructed, further shaping the park. Today, Stromovka is a protected landscape element, serving as a vital recreational center.
