    From Valtice Castle, exit the main gate and walk towards the adjacent Sklepní street. The Herb Garden is located a few meters to the left of the castle stairs, next to the entrance, and is easily accessible on foot.

    From Valtice's relocated bus station on Klášterní street, walk towards the Valtice Castle. Once at the castle, walk towards the adjacent Sklepní street. The Herb Garden is located a few meters to the left of the castle stairs, next to the entrance, and is easily accessible on foot. A single bus fare from Břeclav to Valtice costs approximately 25 CZK.

    When driving to the Herb Garden, navigate to Valtice and follow signs to the town center and Valtice Castle. Paid parking is available in the main square (Náměstí Svobody) or in Sklepní street, close to the garden. Parking costs approximately 40 CZK per hour. The largest parking area is located on Pod Zámkem street, a 3-minute walk from the castle.

The Herb Garden Lu & Tiree Chmelar, located a stone's throw from the Valtice Chateau, offers a tranquil escape into the world of herbs. This unique garden, the brainchild of Tiree Chmelar, was designed to restore the tradition of herb cultivation in Valtice, dating back to the 17th century. The garden officially opened in 2010, years after Tiree's initial vision in 2004, and after her passing in 2005. Her husband Lubomir's name was added to the garden after he passed in 2016. The garden is divided into themed sections, each highlighting different aspects and uses of herbs. Visitors can explore medicinal herbs, dyer's herbs, culinary herbs, herbs from mythology, aroma herbs, and even lovers' herbs. A decorative parterre showcases the aesthetic potential of herbs, while other areas feature collections of native culinary, aromatic, medicinal, and decorative herbs. The garden is designed to be both educational and relaxing, with informative panels and opportunities to engage with the plants. Children can enjoy a sandpit with watering cans, while adults can relax in the shade of cherry trees. The greenhouse gift shop offers a variety of plants and handmade herb products, allowing visitors to take a piece of the garden home with them. The garden also serves as a practical learning environment for students of the Mendel University Horticultural School, who are involved in its maintenance and management. The garden is part of the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
