Walking

If you are already in Velké Pavlovice, walking to Slunečná Lookout is a pleasant option. From the center of town, head east towards the hills. Follow the marked hiking trails leading to the lookout. To reach Slunečná Lookout via public transportation, take a bus to Velké Pavlovice. Buses run regularly, but check the schedule ahead of time. From the Velké Pavlovice bus station, you can walk or take a local taxi to the lookout. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers uphill and takes about 30 minutes. A local taxi should cost around 100 CZK.

Driving

If driving from the center of Palava, head southeast on Route 52 towards Velké Pavlovice. Continue for about 15 kilometers. Once in Velké Pavlovice, follow the signs for 'Slunečná lookout'. A small parking area is available near the lookout point. Parking is generally free. Be sure to check for any local signs regarding parking restrictions.

Slunečná Lookout, translated as "Sunny Lookout," is a modern observation tower located near Velké Pavlovice in the heart of South Moravia's wine country. Standing at 19 meters tall, the tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards, rolling hills, and charming wine villages. The tower's design, resembling a vineyard bush, blends seamlessly with the landscape.Built in 2009, Slunečná Lookout quickly became a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The tower is situated on the Nadzahrady wine trail and close to the Modré hory (Blue Mountains) cycling route, making it an ideal stop for those exploring the region's wineries and natural beauty.To reach the top, visitors ascend a steel spiral staircase with 75 steps to a height of 15 meters. From the observation deck, you can see the wine villages of Modré hory and the Lednice-Valtice area. In the distance, you might spot Hodonín to the east and even Senica in Slovakia on a clear day. To the west, the monumental Mušov Lakes and the Pálava Mountains provide a stunning backdrop. Slunečná Lookout is more than just a viewpoint; it's an experience that immerses you in the beauty and culture of the Czech wine country.
